Pomegranate is one of Birt&Tang's 'Superfood' teas. These combine Chinese teas and other herbal ingredients with so-called 'superfoods' identified in the west as potent sources of antioxidants and flavonoids.
The pomegranate is little-known in China, being associated particularly with Central Europe and the Near East. In this blend, it lends a rich sweetness to the bracing taste of Chinese green tea.
